If you ever get to Madison WI, be sure to check out Bos Meadery — Colleen Bos is into metal and makes some fine meads (I don’t know her stance on meat though).
I was just near there two summers ago. Damn! But thanks for the recommendation!
While the meadery was founded in 2012 evidently, the tasting room didn’t open until last May or so, so unless you found a day they had a tour, you wouldn’t have had the opportunity when you were around.
